Let’s be honest, we all love snacking. We’re really big fans of getting in a midday mini-meal but traditional snack chips and other vending machine options are filled with diet busting calories and sugar. So we set out to make a list of 10 healthy snacks that you can enjoy without regret!

1. Hummus and Veggies
Hummus is made from Chickpeas, which are rich in fiber and protein. They also contain vitamins and minerals, and as with most beans have been linked to various health benefits. Dip some baby carrots in your hummus for a deliciously crunchy snack. :)

2. Almonds
Almonds are high in good fats and protein plus they’ve been shown to actually lower LDL (or bad) cholesterol. Almonds are high in monounsaturated fats, the same type of fats found in olive oil, which have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease.

3. Jerky
Jerky is often low in carbs and high in protein with about 13g per ounce! Not to mention it tastes delicious and chewy!

Pro-tip: Not all jerky is created equally. Some Jerky types have extremely high sodium contents, refined sugars, additives and preservatives. That’s why we stick with jerky made using free-range meats like Shurky Jurky.

4. Cheese Sticks
High-quality cheese sticks offer around 7g of protein per stick with only about 80 calories. Cheese sticks also contain 15% of your daily value of calcium which is important to keep proper bone density. As with all things it’s important to eat in moderation as cheese sticks do have about 6g of fat per stick.

5. Quest Bars
Quest Bars are crazy delicious. They come in flavors like Lemon Cream Pie, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and White Chocolate Raspberry. But Quest Bars have more to offer than just a delicious taste. 7. Air-Popped Popcorn
Air-popped popcorn is a healthy snack alternative to the movie-theater-butter-bags that are filled with preservatives and bad oils. Plus, air popped popcorn contains antioxidants called polyphenols, which have been linked to a reduction in heart disease. Try sprinkling a little sea salt on top or melted coconut oil for a tasty twist!

Need to satisfy a sweet tooth craving ASAP? Try munching on some dried organic fruit. Things like dried apples, mangos, and apricots are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber to promote healthy digestion.

Pro-tip: Be sure there are no added sugars! You can usually trust the dried fruit at your local health foods stores but never be afraid to ask!
