For her first Hunger Games appearance, Jennifer had only 6 weeks to get ready to rock it as Katniss Everdeen, so how did she do it?
She trained 3 times a day, usually doing a morning of agility or sprints, an afternoon of archery training or stunts, and an evening of bike intervals.
She also kept to a diet that was healthy, but didn’t deprive her of anything. This is what Jennifer had to say about not wanting to be super skinny for her role as Katniss Everdeen.
I think it’s really important for girls to have people to look up to. And, to feel good about themselves. I don’t want girls to think, ‘I want to look like Katniss, so I’ll skip dinner. In Hollywood, I’m considered obese. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong – not thin and underfed.
