Have you ever felt so stressed or anxious at work that instead of accomplishing any task on your to-do list your productivity level dropped to an all-time low? We’ve all been there, days like that happen, but luckily there are ways to chill out and be more productive! Try one or two of these tricks and you’ll be on your way to a stress-free, more productive workday! :)
Stretch it and just breath
Stand up and stretch those muscles! Sounds like an easy thing to do but sometimes we get so tensed up and stress that we won’t even think about stretching. Try to stand up and stretch every hour at least once. If you’re feelin’ extra tense, try some breathing methods to let go of your anxiety!
Get up and walk away from your desk to grab coffee, water, or to do a quick lap around the office. Try to walk as much as you can during your workday, you can even use lunch as an opportunity to go for a quick stroll. If you’re on the phone, stand up if you can, this will give your body a chance to use different sets of muscles and loosen up any tension you may have.
Use music as your therapy
If your work will allow it, listen to upbeat or calming music to drown out any stress you have. Music can help you be productive and focus as well! Listening to classical music like Bach and Mozart will be sure to get your mind on the right track. If this isn’t the kind of music you prefer, no problem, just be sure to always keep the volume down or use a headset.
The light at work can sometimes be too bright. Go for soft and indirect lighting. That way you’ll reduce eyestrain and make your environment a more pleasant place to work.
Organize your space
Believe it or not, the source of many types of stress comes from a feeling of being out of control or overwhelmed. If your desk looks like a war zone, you’ll only feel the tension growing. So spruce up your area and organize your desk and you’ll feel more in control of your work.
Drink C3* for Stress

Nourish your body
Eating the wrong foods from 9 to 5 (or from 8 to 7) can make all the difference in your stress levels. Eat a balanced, healthy diet and don’t forget to drink plenty of water :)
Work it out!
Hit the gym or health club while you’re on break! If there’s not enough time, don’t sweat (you can sweat later). Take a walk or take the stairs for a couple rounds when you get a little break. It not only helps burn calories but will also help relieve any tension and stress.
